Memorial Tributes

When a loved one dies, memorial tributes are important as we struggle to find ways to keep the memory of that person alive. Many people think that we don't want to talk or think about our loved one, that it brings pain.

However, usually the reverse is true. Talking about our loved one, sharing memories with others who knew him or her, and laughing and crying together keeps the memory alive.

Telling stories about a loved one who has passed away help us deal with the reality of death, and depending on our religious convictions, can provide reassurance of a reunion for eternity;

Our tribute to Ronald Boyes celebrates the life of my husband's best friend and provides a lasting memory of some of the wonderful times we all spent together.

Writing memorial tributes is a creative way to share your memories, too.

The pain is there, being silent does not bring it on. Talking often relieves it. The affirmation of others reinforces the value of the person we have loved.

It keeps the person in our lives, and helps us make the transition to living with the person physically in our lives to holding a special place in our memory.

We offer an opportunity for you to memorialize your loved one here at Comfort Your Heart. There are such a variety of ways to make memories and proceed with healthy grieving.

Writing stories, creating scrapbooks, developing web pages or websites devoted to the loved one are a few. Often we make financial contributions or volunteer for a cause that was dear to our loved one.

Sympathy Inspirational Gifts

Sympathy gift ideas are often very fitting as memorial tributes. Choose a lasting memento such as a piece of memorial jewelry, a garden stone or a frame for a photo of the bereaved person's choice.
