Pet Memorial Poem
A pet memorial poem, (unlike a sympathy poem usually written to> the grieving human owner), is more often by the grieving person.
A poem written in sympathy for the person left behind will usually focus on the feelings of the grieving pet parent.
When you write your own poem, you will want to focus on what your pet meant to you.
Memorializing Your Pet
What are the times that stand out in your life with your pet? Your memorial will honor the way your pet could make you feel, the things he or she did that made you laugh.
The reason you will be the one to write your own memorial words is that you are the only one who knows what your pet meant to you. Sometimes it will be how your pet responded in a time of special heartache.
Others will include in their
pet memorial poem
what it meant to come home from a rough day at work, only to have that tail (or stub, in my Tess’s case) wag, and the kisses cover your face. (OK so that might gross some of you out!)
Just when you were feeling like you couldn’t please anyone!!
However you want to honor your pet we invite you to share it with us and our readers.
