I Miss You
Our rescue girl. She was 7 yrs old and had given birth to too many litters. She was in a kennel, small, vulnerable but outshone all of the others.
We had her spayed through the RSPCA. One month later, the vet found she had peritonitis but she made it thru.
She loved our Guiness 7 yrs old too, our first rescue boy and then became mum to our pup Lily 3 yrs ago. A natural friend to them, a mediator between them and above all she loved them and they loved her.
Now for me. I fell in love with her at first sight. She was such a nervous girl but thru gentle persuasion and alot of kisses she accepted love and affection and gave it back tenfold.
She changed from a girl who wouldn't go in the garden to a girl who loved lazing on the patio in the sun and wading thru snow in the winter.
When my husband left for work in the morning she would jump straight up onto the bed and snuggle between the sheets.
She would snore when she was awake. She would chase her tail if she got the energy to. She loved chewing up tennis balls.
She doted on my two daughters - would watch the clock at school home time and start fretting if they were late.
She would clean my husband's face when he got home dusty from work. she loved to clean us all as if we were her pups.
She had the kindest nature, the biggest heart and the most beautiful face a dog could have. I know she's safe at the Rainbow Bridge but I miss her so much - I just look to the day we meet again so that my dearest friend can be in my arms again but this time it will be forever.
